Reviews

'A very impressive text. It is highly readable, answers important questions, and provides a comprehensive and up-to-date account of Scottish politics at this critical moment in Scotland's history.' - Thomas Lundberg, University of Glasgow, UK 'This is now the leading textbook on Scottish politics. It not only exhaustively explores Scotland's changing political landscape and major political developments, but also, and perhaps even more importantly, places them in a wider comparative context. Genuinely essential reading.' - Lynn Bennie, University of Aberdeen, UK 'Cairney and McGarvey have produced an excellent and up-to-date resource for anyone teaching or studying Scottish politics in the devolution era. As an introductory textbook, it is packed with useful empirical material and links Scottish political development to core concepts and processes in political science.' - Nicola McEwen, University of Edinburgh, UK
