Description
The maul of America! It's been two days since a zombie virus turned Zack Clarke's parents, neighbors, and most of the country into brain-munching fiends. It's time for the Zombie Chasers to end this nightmare once and for all! With an antidote in hand, the gang sets off on a wild cross-country road trip to defeat the evil genius behind the zombie apocalypse. But the clock is ticking! Will Sludgment Day be the dawn of the dead
Author Biography
John Kloepfer began his writing -career at five years old with a one-sentence short story: "And then one day the monsters came." The Zombie Chasers is his first novel. He lives in New York City, where he is hard at work on the next adventure of Zack, Rice, and Madison.
ReviewsPraise for THE ZOMBIE CHASERS: "What makes this latest entry into the developing middle-grade zombie canon stand out is Kloepfer's gleeful insistence on gore and Wolfhard's squiggly drawings that really bring the laughs. Stick around for the next vomitus volume." -- ALA Booklist "Kloepfer's first is a Zombieland for the middle-school set: funny, off-color and extremely gross. A great pick for the child who thought Diary of a Wimpy Kid just needed more motile corpses." -- Kirkus Reviews "A quick, fun read, loaded with jokes and middle-school sarcasm." -- School Library Journal "If there's an award for the grossest descriptions of zombies, Kloepfer would win it. Preteen boys will love it." -- St. Paul Pioneer Press Praise for UNDEAD AHEAD: "Written with tongue firmly in cheek-and other body parts all over the landscape-this book will appeal to reluctant readers, particularly middle school boys." -- School Library Journal
