Author Biography
From 1980-1988, Jimmy Roberts worked full time in various capacities for ABC News and Sports, at one point serving as a writer and producer for Howard Cosell. From 1988-2000, he served as reporter for ESPN, spending most of his time on Sportscenter. If it bounced or rolled, he covered it. From 2000-present, he's been employed by NBC Sports covering golf, the Olympics, Wimbledon, and serving as host of the Notre Dame Football pre and halftime shows. Roberts has won 11 Emmy awards, including citations for journalism, individual achievement, and writing. He has won a Golf Writers Association of America award for a column published on ESPN.com. He even had a role in the movie "Tin Cup," playing himself. Roberts lives in Rye, NY with his wife and three sons.
