Description
An exciting, high-stakes follow-up to Hilari Bell's THE GOBLIN WOOD. Age 12+ Jeriah's brother Tobin is in terrible danger. He's willingly crossed over to the Otherworld with a hedgewitch named Makenna and her legion of goblins. What Tobin doesn't know is that the Otherworld is a perilous dimension that will leech the magic from those who have it - and the life from those who don't. In order to save his brother, Jeriah must find a way to open a mystical gate between the worlds. Searching for the key to rescue Tobin from the clutches of the Otherworld, Jeriah is thrust into a tangled web of political intrigue as he uncovers a dangerous secret that could change the fate of an entire kingdom. Now he must get help from the very beings he's been taught to hate - the mischievous goblins. Meanwhile, the clock is ticking for Tobin... Age 12+ Jeriah's brother, Tobin, is in terrible danger. Author Biography
Hilari Bell recently retired from a career as a librarian to pursue writing full time. Her favorite books are fantasy, science fiction, and mystery. Not surprisingly, these are the kinds of books she writes very well herself, often combining genres when it serves her story. Her growing list of titles includes The Prophecy, The Wizard Test, The Goblin Wood, and A Matter of Profit. Perhaps a starred review of the wizard test in KLIATT describes Hilari''s unique talent best: "Politics and intrigue, honor and friendship are Bell''s real subjects, and her novels are thought provoking as well as exciting reads." Hilari lives in her hometown of Denver, Colorado.
