Wily free trappers and skilled survivors, mountain men Ezra, Abe and Lucien descend from the high country each spring to sell their rich bounty and spend their profits. This year Lucien returns to Missouri to give civilized life a try, but he turns away from the marriage altar to return to his amigos and the untamed wilderness.
