Faber's first summer is a terrific one, with perhaps the best pitching performances anyone has ever seen. He returns home a hero. But things begin to unravel when Faber mysteriously loses the abilitiy to throw a pitch. Shamed, Faber hangs up his cleats and searches for answers on the magical fields of Cape Marlin.. But the Seawolves want him back, and Jack returns to beautiful Cape Marlin-not only to find his pitching ability but himself.
